When we teach, we
seek to help our students build a bridge between the
information we are presenting and how they will use the information in
their own lives and work. We try to challenge students and help them see
how improving the way they structure information will not just help them,
but will help the organizations they support as well.

Provided training
via the Washington area's leading training firms: EEI Communications,
WestLake Internet Training, USDA's Center for Applied Technology; via
national user-experience firm (Adaptive Path). Students attending these
classes came from all branches of Government, NGOs, Professional Service
Corporations, E-Commerce firms, National Organizations, and Associations.
Universities:
Provided semester-long training via University of Maryland (Professional
Writing Program), Johns Hopkins University (Professional Communication
Program), Georgetown University (Center for Professional Development)
and USDA Graduate School (Evening Programs)

Training:
Provided training to professionals at Info.Design teaching facility
(as open-enrollment courses) and to specific organizations
AARP:
Developed and provided course on Information
Design for client services division (2003). Offered specialized
presentations and assisted organization in re-crafting information to
increase user comprehension and understanding. (2002)
CFED:
Supported Center for Enterprise Development in crafting and presenting
class on clarity and narrative.
Enabled participants to use skills in working with NGOs and others in
explaining economic programs. (2003)
National
Association of REALTORS: Developed training on strategies
for writing on the web so members and other "user populations"
could find and read consumer-based information. Provided tools and strategies
for increasing user comprehension. (2003)
USDA Economic
Research Service: Developed and provided one-day instruction on
architecting usable information.
Mentoring team members in strategies for usability testing and analysis.

for structuring usable information.
