process graphicOur process works

Our clients tell the story: "I had been getting stuck on how to proceed in a methodical yet creative way."

"I was trying to nail down a process for structuring content on my website. Thanks for your process."

Our process works because it is an analysis-based structure that is geared toward one ultimate goal: improving human performance.

Info.Design's site structure process

In the corporate world, process has become a powerful framework for corporate improvement. We base the Info.Design site structure process on the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model. The ISD model, an analysis-based approach to structuring information and systems, consists of five steps: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. Info.Design broadens the scope to include envisioning.

Each of the following six links will provide some insight into why our process works:

Site structure process = performance

We focus on improving performance. "Performance is accomplishment," wrote Thomas Gilbert, the founder of the field of Human Performance Technology. For your organization, performance means:

  • Organizational and personal effectiveness.
  • Improved efficiency.
  • Decreased cost.
  • Positive, and measurable, outcomes.

Processes are centrally tied to what organizations want to achieve. Doesn't it make sense to bring information architecture processes to your Web-building team?
