Fall 2005 Internship Announcement

Info.Design, Inc.—an information architecture consultancy and think tank—is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic intern to provide support for a variety of projects. We offer a casual, creative work environment at our Dupont Circle studio, where the ideal candidate will find numerous opportunities for professional development.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software applications
  • Willing to take on administrative duties, including filing, scheduling, and managing office systems
  • Adept at sorting and structuring electronic and paper-based information and materials
  • Capable of writing clear prose, and of editing/proofreading documents for clarity, spelling, and style
  • Interested in theory and practice of user-focused design and human performance.

Duties will vary widely, and will likely include walking Scoop, our office dog, and assisting in preparations for college-level classes and in-house workshops. Background in information design and web architecture would be quite helpful, but is not required.

This is a paid internship designed for college Juniors, Seniors, or transitioning adults. It will last 10 weeks, with an opportunity for renewal. For more information about Info.Design, our philosophy, and our work, please visit Info.Design.com and www.thomhaller.com
