Information architecture matters
Underneath clear writing and usable information design lies the
science of information architecture -- an understanding
of how to convey complex information as clearly as possible,
electronically or in print.
As
information architects, our purpose is to present information
so that people can find it, use it and appreciate the experience.
All documents in the workplace help people learn, use technology,
make decisions, and get their jobs done. All documents are tools.
Doesn't
it make sense that we should build tools so they
work?
